Flinders Street Station Limited Series
Based on five of my favourite photographs, these prints celebrate the historical architecture and design of past Melbournians by adding a twist of new millennium creativeness. They are a wink at some of our best loved Melbourne icons. In keeping with our philosophy this print is produced locally in Port Melbourne on recycled 250gsm paper, signed and numbered individually. Each print is posted in a cylinder tube that is light to carry and protects the image.
Flinders Street Station is located on the corner of Flinders and Swanston streets, Melbourne. It is the first railway station ever built in an Australian city, having been completed in 1910, and is a cultural icon of Melbourne. Backing onto the city’s edge at the Yarra River, the station covers two whole city blocks, extending from Swanston Street to Queen Street. It is the busiest station in the Southern Hemisphere and a famous meeting spot for local Melburnians, who often “meet under the clocks”.
